Health certificate
When you export food- and animal products, you need a health certificate.Â
The certificate is easily created digitally on the Contenera-platform and will save you a trip to the Danish Food Administration office.
The certificate and when to use it
The health certificate must be used when exporting food, animal products or live animals. The “food” category is broad and includes food in all forms – fresh, frozen, dried, etc. The category also includes beverages, ingredients and much more. Â
An approved health certificate is your recipient’s guarantee that all guidelines and conditions have been met. Â
Health certificates are issued by the Danish Food Administration who need to stamp the certificate before it is valid. However, some chambers of commerce can handle the health certificate and arrange for it to be processed by the Danish Food Administration.
Physical- or digital certificate
You can choose to handle the certificate physically or digitally. For the physical version, the document must be filled out, printed, shipped- and stamped manually. The certificate still needs to be printed and stamped, even if you choose the digital option.Â
The process can be handled by our own printing service in Vejen (which has an office a few meters from the Danish Food Administration), or by our printing service-partners throughout the country. Printing service will ensure that your certificate is prepared and then uploaded to the Contenera-platform. This saves you lots of time, money, driving – and Co2.Â
