The certificate and when to use it

If you export non-authorized goods out of the EEA, the recipient of the goods may require you to make a documentary endorsement or to present a Certificate of Free Sale.

The certificate is used for exports of chemical mixtures, cosmetics and bio- and pesticides. As mentioned above, these are non-authorized goods, which is why the customer may require a certificate as proof that you are authorized to export the product. In the case of exports of goods authorized by the authorities, the exporter must contact the Danish Environmental Protection Agency to obtain an export certificate.

Create- and apply for Certificates of Free Sale on the Contenera-platform

Certificates of Free Sale are issued by various authorities, including the Danish Food Administration, the Danish Environmental Protection Agency and the Danish Medicines Agency. The Danish Chambers of Commerce can also make an endorsement or declaration if the aforementioned authorities cannot issue the Certificate of Free Sale. On the Contenera-platform, you can create- and apply for the certificate, after which your application will be sent to the relevant authority for approval.
